This is a brief list of some of the most common jobs I do along with general pricing, although this is subject to change if the job is significantly more or less difficult than is typical. All quotes are given before work is started, and are not subject to change unless stated otherwise. Some jobs I don't have enough experience with to give a firm quote, in this case I'll give my best estimate but the final price may differ. Regardless, I take great care in charging an amount that is fair for both of us. Quotes do not include cost of materials, and I charge a flat $50 for drive time to/from the job and time spent purchasing materials. Minimum total bill is $200.Standard TV Mounting: $150, upcharge if you need me to hide cables
Toilet Replacement: $350 + $100 for disposal
Ceiling Fan Replacement: $250
Basic Light Fixture Replacement: $100
Light Switch/Outlet Replacement: $10 each ($5 for cover only)
Blinds/Curtains Installation: $40 each
Mount Paintings: $25 each
Replace Doorknobs/Deadbolts: $25 each
About
I got my start doing handyman work for my parents as well as members of my extended family. My family immigrated from Russia to the US after the fall of the Soviet Union, and many of them were able to start creating wealth by purchasing heavily discounted real estate in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis. Most of these properties required major repairs and renovations before they could be sold or rented out, and because of this I spent much of my childhood helping my parents renovate these properties. As I got a bit older I became able to perform basic handyman work without supervision, and began doing this for my parents as well as other members of my family. I did this for around 5 years before stopping to focus on other pursuits, but after a few years I decided to start a real business and put the skills I learned growing up to good use.I like to make my pricing as transparent as possible so you know exactly what you're paying for. I discuss pricing in more detail on the Job List page of my website, but you will receive an itemized quote before the job and on the invoice.
